Homemade Oreo Cookies

I've looked at a lot of recipes online, and I got the general idea, but wanted to make them my own way. I love cooking but baking is different. I don't generally like sweet stuff but my husband loves it, so I am trying to make more stuff (even though most of the time Josh cant eat it all, and we end up giving them away to friends)

Cookies:
1 pkg. of chocolate cake (or devil's food cake)
1/8 C. oil
2 eggs
1 tbs butter (room tempurature)

Frosting:
1/2 pkg. cream cheese (room temp)
2 tbs. butter (room temp)
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 C. powdered sugar

Mix cookie ingredients up, roll them into balls (as big or as little as you want), place them on a cookie sheet, and FLATTEN the balls out...or else you'll get big thick bulky cookies. Bake at 350 for 7 minutes, and then leave them on the hot cookie sheet for a few more minutes outside the oven.
Then inbetween two cookies put as much or as little frosting as you want! I had leftover frosting. I'm not a sugar person though.

I tried making little ones...

and big ones!

Yums!

Cake mix cookies are the best. I like using regular buttercream frosting in the middle. Mmmmm... and I sometimes do the party chip cookies with the party chip frosting in the middle. You don't like baking? Well you should cook for me and I'll bake for you! HAHAH :)

Craving them NOW! I have made them before, but it's been a long time. Thanks to you, I might just have to make them again! :)

By the way, I have an AMAZING recipe for these, but it does include lots of Crisco. I will have to send it your way.
