Debate about the Breastesses

I was going to name this post "BREASTS" but then I might get a few interesting people googling the word and finding my blog. Not that a million other links wouldnt show up first. Anyway.
A friend of mine linked on Facebook (to all their friends) a blog that contained a recipe for how to make your own cheese...with breastmilk.
There were a lot of comments on the link, like "Ew, Gross" and yada yada yada..
I went to the link and just quickly skimmed through it (har har har)
But then I really got to thinking..Why?

Why is it so gross?

Is it because breastmilk is so sweet? Because they come from boobs, which in our culture are sexual? Is it because you would think it would taste gross?

I talked to both Josh and my sister Jana about it. Both of them said they wouldn't make it/eat it. When I asked why, Josh said human milk is different from cows milk, much like human meat is different from cows meat.
I get it that breastmilk is for the babies, but it is possible for extra breastmilk to accumulate that the baby doesn't need and could possibly go bad. (Did you know you can sell breastmilk on the black market for around $2/oz ??)

Ok back to the cheese. If it tasted good, and I was too poor to buy cheese, I would totally make my own.

Thoughts???
I have to admit when I first saw the post I was like...YUCK. Hmm...but why?
Why do we drink milk from a gross farm animal but not our own species? Especially when you know its disease free?
We are the only species on Earth that doesn't drink our own milk. You know we are all consuming cow's breastmilk right?
If you want to view the recipe, go here.

Blogger Friends...

Will you please do this, to make it easier for your readers to make comments? it will be WAY less of a hassle for them...

On your dashboard click "settings", then click the "comments" tab. Scroll down to the bottom where it says "Show word verification for comments?" and click NO !!!!

Its pretty dang annoying to type in some annoying made up word before you can read my comment (the captcha).

I've never in my years (all 2 of them) have had a spam comment on my blog.

Yes thank you please!

Now I gotta figure out what in the heck happened to my blinkies. Can you see them or is it a problem with my computer?

disappearing baby

Ok, I thought that Kaius would develop so gradually that I wouldnt be so surprised by his milestones. But I am absolutely shocked all the time. It is SO weird to see him stand while holding onto something. I am baffled when he manages to get the cheerio in his mouth. My baby is disappearing, and when I see younger babies, Kaius all the sudden looks like a GIANT. Am I the only one who reacts like this?

Was there ever a food in your family that everyone loved, and you were the only one that hated it?
It was avocados for me.
But I wanted to love them sooo bad.

The beautiful color...

They're nutritious.

Avocados provide nearly 20 essential nutrients, including fiber, potassium, Vitamin E, B-vitamins and folic acid. They also act as a "nutrient booster" by enabling the body to absorb more fat-soluble nutrients, such as alpha and beta-carotene and lutein, in foods that are eaten with the fruit. info from Avocado.org

And so all throughout the years I have always eaten a little to try to like it, and just recently, I do!!

I just ate a whole one, with salt and pepper. So good.

Kaius likes them too, but he likes everything. I am sooo lucky for that.

Guacamole, however, is different. Grrroosssss!

Kaius is now into pretty much everything, and its now hit me I'm a mom. My lazy days are ova! Josh said last night while Kaius found my stash of magazines, that our lives have changed forever.

She's MINE.

This morning I went to a friends house to just hang out and watch a movie. She has a little boy the same age as Kaius. I was holding Kaius and her little tyke came crawling over and started playing with my shirt and so I started talking to him, rubbing his back, etc. Giving the other cute baby some attention.
Kaius observes this and wraps his arms around me and lays his head down on my chest, staring the boy down. Staking his claim! This is MY mama!
I felt so loved. He's never had much competition. I love being his mom.

Never a Bridesmaid, Only a Bride.

This I should probably write in my personal diary, but I don't feel like it. I can post on here whatever I want.
I have never been in a "group"
I spent K-11th grade trying to be one of the popular girls. My senior year I finally realized that being popular won't make me happy. There were girls that would talk to me when I had spent 2 hours on my hair that morning and stole a cute outfit from my sister, and then the next day when I was back to looking average they would straight up ignore me in the halls.
I've never had a group of girls that I have hung out with that we endured throughout the years, er whatever. It must be my fault, cuz I don't really know anyone else like me. I've always kind of been ok with it. I've usually had a boyfriend (or now-a husband) that I've devoted most of my time to. I am absolutely horrible at keeping in touch with people. I hate talking on the phone most of the time. I mean I do it, but I'd rather not, like, just shoot the breeze.
Thats probably a huge part huh...girlfriends like to gab all the time. I don't get all the drama either. Another big thing is flakiness. I can't stand it when you make plans and then day of comes and they are no where to be seen. Just be sraight up and say you've got somethin goin on!

I'm not complaining, I guess I'm just admitting to myself that: I'm different. I'm unique. I absolutely LOVE spending all of my time with my man, and little man. They are all I need. I would rather do that than anything else in the whole world. I hear women say things about their friends like "I don't know what I would do without my amazing friends!!" and I have gone my whole life without them.

Lately, my problem has been that I think I am way better friends with girls than I actually am. I find this out the hard way.
Ok now I am complaining. I have had very few friends in my whole life that are STRAIGHT UP with me. I'm a very understanding person; as long as you're straight up with me.
