hmm?! (pics added)

So, apparently, Josh made a pretty good impression on the Bishop, despite the swearing that was done in his office.
Josh got a call before church while we were still in bed (we kind of like to wake up last minute, its a bad habit) and they said to cut our Sunday school class short today because the Bishopric wanted to meet with us. My guess is that they were going to call us to young men/young womens. I made him guess, although he didn't want to, and his guess was elders quorum/relief society. I reeeeeeeeally hoped his guess was wrong.

And it was. They released us from teaching the 12-13 year olds, and called me as the Den Mother for the Bear Scouts....and Josh as the Ward Mission Leader!!! We were ward missionaries at our Ward in Midvale...and that was the biggest challenge for me. Knocking on doors in an apartment complex is not my favorite thing to do. I am making sure we never live in a complex again. Unless we move to California...I will pretty much live anywhere if we live there. As long as its a safe area.
Anyway, Josh is pretty happy about it. Knocking doors and starting up conversations with random people is his forte. Growing up his Mom says he had enough confidence for the whole family. Josh loves to talk. He loves to hear the sound of his own voice. He will admit it too. Anyway, he will have to spend a little more time away from Kaius and I for this calling, but I know that we will be blessed in other ways. I'm sure wives' of Bishops see countless blessings in their life. Man they spend a lot of time away from their families.

Today we went on a picnic!

We had steak sandwiches...because we had steak sandwiches when we went to Hawaii last year. Melinda made them for us (my sister in law) and I was pregnant at the time. I pretty much HAD to have steak sandwiches all the time the rest of the pregnancy, they were so good. But I haven't had one since then, so that's what I wanted! We went to a park, it was fun and relaxing.

I also have pictures of the girls night out we had last night.

These are my hott friends.

The Crazies

(Funny story about this picture...after this picture was taken they looked at the pic on my camera and Natalie-girl on left, said "wow I look albino next the the Aborigine in the picture" -talking about Cammie-on the right, because she is so tan. But Cammie thought she was talking about the black guy to the left hahaha......)

We went to Tucanos and then went to a Romeo + Juliet musical afterwards...and it was not just normal boring R + J...it was a HIP HOP version. Which is right up our alley...since we all Zumba together many times a week.
I don't think I'll post the video of me standing on a chair at Tucano's dancing with a tambourine though...
alright...you all talked me into it...

I Love My Sis

My sister made me this headband, I just received it in the mail today.

Its perfect! Its so cute. It hides my brown roots. It hides my regrowth of spiky hair... because of all the hair I lost after I had my baybeh. Its the perfect gift! Thanks Jana Banana

I think I look fly.

And please leave me a comment, thanking me for putting on a bra- just for this picture.

BEEP

So Josh and I met with the bishop tonight and we talked for about an hour, just getting to know each other. Josh proceeds to tell the bishop about the lemon car we bought from a shady dealer, with a shot transmission that we had to shell out an extra 2,000 for from our savings. Josh words it like this "Well we bought a car from this salesman in Salt Lake and we got totally shhhhhhheisted in the deal." (which is the sh** word in German)....not a big deal cuz we Americans say "Shizah" all the time, right??

Well our Bishop moved to America when he was in his twenties...from Germany. And can say our last name more properly than we can.
The look on his face was HILARIOUS. So shocked. He was like, "Oh OK."
Josh didn't even realized til I hit him on the arm. Oh man, did he apologize up and down trying to explain that Americans use it in every day language as slang, not profanity. And that he should know better, he took 5 years of German, his family had a German boy come stay with them for a year, and his little brother Chris is currently on a mission there right now. I think that the bishop understood, but think if you moved to Germany and became a bishop and someone came in and said the word "shi$" in your office?? hahahaha I don't think I'll ever let him live it down. We laughed pretty hard about it on the way home. And I told him I'm totally gunna blog about it, and her I am.

Kai's First Swim!

My little man!

Swimmin with Uncle Ryan!

Ah! I'm in a swimming suit XD! But I have a 20 lb body hiding me.
Josh was trying to get Kai's attention and didn't wipe the crazy look off his face in time. But he is still hott.

Kaius liked it. He just kind of chilled out, splashed a little bit. It was snowing when we got done and were walking out to the car. That was fun! It all must have worn my baby boy out cuz he slept for about 4 hours!

I need to make fun of this girl

2093 - ClearView™ Wide Three Drawer Organizer

After

This used to be my scrapbooking oranizer, but I've upgraded. More on that later.
Josh isnt the most organized with paper, but he'll never leave dirty socks or any clothes on the floor. He cleans the sink after he shaves, I think I got lucky. But I decided to surprise him by mod podging it! Did I mention, ?

But mod podging on PLASTIC...I dont recommend. It was hard. Wood is better because its more...supple? porous? you get the picture.

Back to scrapbooking, I have sooo many scrapbook supplies. I have maybe 3 scrapbook pages to show for it. I have everything...pictures, ribbon, letter stickers and stamps, fun decals, different papers, yada yada yada. I feel like the house needs to be completely clean and organized before I scrapbook. But when is it EVER clean and organized.

Now for some cute pics:

Like takin' candy from a baby :) (For those of you that are worried, he didn't actually lick this lollypop...just posing in the candy store. Well...he did lick it for a second, but the lollypop is wrapped in plastic)

first day outside with mom...finally some nice weather. He's wearing Oliver's hat!!

Aww...this picture reminds me of this post where I said "Now I'm all stoked for a chill little Brecheisen boy" because Oliver was so happy and calm! I don't think Kaius is quiiiite as calm as Oliver but he is a very good calm and happy baby! Also, when I wrote that post, I didn't know if we were having a boy or a girl yet.

Binkies...doesn't quite get the concept. But he's teething, so, whatevers.

Blackberry Pictures

Pictures from my phone, sorry no actual pictures of blackberries XD

I probably could have done a better job of getting a picture of my belly all lop-sided..but this is all I got.

Jessy and I were so proud of our "Yahtzee's" while playing on our lunch break, we had to take pics.

This is Shaq. We went to Little America for my birthday and he was there to play against the Jazz that night. Jessy (pictured above with her Yahtzee) saw him walking across the room and she ran over and just stood there. He said "Hello" and she said "Hi!". She looked SO excited haha, guess you had to be there.

My birthday gifts from Joshie! Oh, and the house was a disaster and he cleaned it ALL up before I got home from work. Still the best gift ever.

This is Alex, shaking her hot thang on stage at Keys on Main.

No, I didn't get beat up, I had a *blemish* under my eye and I tried a little too hard to *extract* it. I don't know why I posted it. Just keepin it real.

This was when we first got our Blackberries. He is sooo hot in brown aviators.

This picture is of my sister Jana, I had asked her to hold Kaius while I did something and she set him down on top of Pheobe, the pup. Neither of them minded. Had to capture the moment.

This was taken on Thanksgiving at my Dad's on the Wii. Kaius was 2.5 months old. He now weighs 20.5 lbs.

What? No cookies?

Can you see what elmo is offering Cookie Monster? Cookie Monster looks pretty excited...

A Banana?

He is holding an apple!! Where are the cookies?!!?

Oh, and whats that cute face in the background? ;)

I guess Pampers feels an obligation to set a good example for children.
heehee

Whenever Kaius is fussy and wont eat, or during a car ride, all I have to do is sing the Cuppy Cake Song. He stops crying almost immediately, and only when I sing it. And I don't mind it, although I am not the best singer! Here is the song being sung by a cute little girl, I'm not sure where this song came from?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12Z6pWhM6TA

Update: Dakota brought it to my attention that the song is from Strawberry Shortcake! :D

Random Things

Because I am wanting to document it for some reason, but sick of thinking of ways to jot it down creatively.

1) I think I have not been posting much about Kai's growth and development, in hopes that he slows his growth roll. Its quite ridiculous but I just want him to be stationary for a while longer. He will roll over once in a while but usually just lays there, he isn't strong enough to support all that chub yet. Works for me!
-He is like 26 1/2 inches, and 20 1/2 lbs. He is in like 90th percentile for weight, and 75th in height. like.

-His giggle and squeals are friggin hilarious. For the most part, he is a pretty quiet kid. Until I get on the phone, then he playfully screams non-stop...which is also cute and funny.

-He no longer really sucks his thumb...that I know of. He will do it for a second here and there but about a month or so ago he was doing it a lot. Maybe he still does it at night to self sooth.

-Since tuesday morning he has slept from like 11-ish to 7-ish. which is new. and great. Although, I thought once he'd be sleeping that long I would quit being so tired all the time. Nope...Im still used to staying up late, and pulling him into bed at 7 and snuggling til we fall asleep til 10. I am so grateful I don't have to work. I really have it easy.

-Josh is his favorite person in the WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD. He completely lights up when he walks in the door. When he is hanging out with dad and gets hungry, so he has to be given to me, he pretty much freaks out when Josh walks away and he cranes his neck to see where he is. Then sometimes Josh will come sit next to me so he will chill out and then Kaius just looks at him and smiles for a while. He really wishes daddy could breastfeed, and I couldn't agree MORE.

-He is a bruiser. This morning I was extra tired and sometimes he will let me just snooze next to him but this morning, he wanted to play! He kept scratching at my face and he got the same spot with his razor sharp nails (Josh "clipped" them last night...) and so now I'm missing a small patch of skin on my forehead.

-Anything that I put in his mouth other than milk, he absolutely cringes at. mashed up bananas, a tiny piece of bread, a tiny piece of a grape...he just makes this nasty face. But, its still cute.

-A week ago he started staring at his hand like 'this thing is moving, the way I want it to move, thats new" And I have the most awesome video of him doing it. I will post that soon. Its so weird to see him have such a controlled movement with his hands.

He turns 6 months old on Monday...and also on that day it is our 2 year anniversary!

2. I have friends over for dinner often because A) I want to get to know them better B) So I have motivation to keep my house clean. I am silly.

3. Motherhood is a lot different than I thought it would be. I always told myself that as soon as I have kids and am a stay at home mom, my house will be constantly sparkling clean. And that I would give up my slobbish ways. I can say it has gotten WAY better but not as good as I thought. Things I do now to make life easier (and if you have any suggestions, by all means share):
-If I use a pan or pot or utensil like measuring spoon that doesnt touch my mouth, i just rinse the food off and stick it right back in the drawer. Hey, my germs aren't on it. (unless its something like raw meat or something gross...but if I just needed a cup of sugar, does it really need more than rinsing...)

-I think twice before throwing a piece of clothing into the dirty clothes...'is it really that dirty?' 'do I really want to do more laundry?'

-some days I don't wear anything but my underwear, just so I don't dirty more clothes! Can't do that one too much longer, once Kaius is cognitive (Blogger is telling me cognacent isn't a word...whats wrong with me). lol (no I didn't laugh out loud and anytime anyone writes that, I don't believe them.)
Why do I use parenthesis so often? Cuz I am a scatter. brain.

4. I want to have another baby. For Kaius mostly. I think it's important he has someone to play with. Josh had his big brother Jeremie who is very close in age growing up and they liked it that way (Well, I am guessing Jeremie liked it that way...cuz he has 2 girls that are pretty close in age).
I remember having morning sickness for 6 weeks (but when I look back, I think of it as wayy longer. It dragged on a looong time) and thinking...if I had a toddler, I wouldnt be able to do handle them. Cuz I just sat on the couch non-stop. But, I was working full time too. A girl would be fun and different, but a boy would just be so convenient since we have all the schtuff. Except that Josh is impossible to talk with about boy names.

5. Zumba has changed my life. I have met some awesome friends and we freakin party it UP each class. We seriously run a muck. And we look awesome.

6. My favorite things right now are:
-Simply Apple juice
it really is like biting into a crisp juicy ripe apple.
-chocolate milk
my buds tell me its the best thing to drink after you work out, because it has the perfect balance of carbs, protein, and something else...fat? i cant remember. but I thought that was good news.
-Yogurt with granola in it. I googled "homemade granola" and made myself a huge bag!

-making basically anything from Pioneer Woman's website. But, when she says not to drain out all the fat, I do. And I use way less butter than she does. Because I think she is lying about eating all that fat, she is way skinny.
12842_10100167647290364_8309022_59858135_8319650_n
Also, I saw her on Good Morning America last week and expected her to have a deeper hickish accent, but she is totally high pitched and girly!

- I really do like the stuff. Cajun chicken is my favorite, in the lime green bag, but I can rarely find that these days.

Sorry no other pics but google image ones. I'm too lazy to upload anything. But, we're getting our family pictures done Saturday! I am stoked.
