New Moon

Just an update from the last post, we took Kaius to see it twice and he was pretty much an angel the whole time both times.

And I was getting so sick of all the haters on facebook. A) I don't get why everyone is switching to Jacob's team. He is annoying in the books and i still don't like him, however i see the love triangle thing a little more clearly now. I don't want her to drop-kick Jacob anymore.
B) Yes, the movie is slow and drawn out, but earth-to-you......THE BOOK IS TOO.
and if people haven't ever read the books, they probably won't like the movie.

This is my report.

Don't Judge Me

Josh and I never discussed going to see New Moon. Its a given that we were going to go. Its our romantic movie. Like for most couples its The Notebook, but not us. I started reading the books when we were engaged and with every laugh, cry, gasp, & jaw-drop Josh was told what happened each step of the way. I read Twilight out loud to him, but stopped there because he wasnt really into it. Anyway. Josh went to buy our tickets today but called me to ask the question:
"What are we going to do with Kaius?"
Hmmm...good question. So I said to myself, "Self, there isn't anyone within 2 hours of us that we know and trust enough to babysit Kaius. It leaves no choice but to take him with us."

I know..we're crazy right? One of the last movies I went to was in Provo like 4 months ago and there were like three babies there! Although they werent too noisy i was still like "who brings a baby to a theater?!" But now I know. I was sooooo judgemental before I had a baby. Now I know you just need to have to just GET OUT sometimes. You have to get. out.
So tonight, we decided to take Kaius to the movies as a test drive, to the $1 theater to see "Surrogates". (Which is a way good movie!)
KAIUS PASSED THE TEST WITH FLYING COLORS! He only made like one peep! he slept 90% of the time. I have such a good baby!

Man I love this picture. He is my most prized possession.

Can I Just Say...

I absolutely cannot stand when people use the acronym "FML". It's shows how ungrateful people are for what they have.
[if you don't know what it stands for, its *beep* My Life]
That's all.

Interesting Fact

Was browsing Babycenter.com to find out: A) How long after you eat chocolate that it is in your breastmilk making your baby's tummy hurt, and B) Is it possible to be feeding your baby too much breastmilk, causing too much weight gain too fast?
Not that I dont LOVE a chunky baby...

this is my nephew baby Moseley. almost 8 months in this picture. And I Looooooove to squish him.
Im not worried Kai is getting too big too fast (nor am i worried that Moseley is too big), i was just wondering if its even possible for babies to overeat breastmilk. mff-mascotwin2
Anyway I didn't find the answer to either question but i did find out this:

Oxytocin isn't the only love chemical. Dopamine, the main currency of pleasure in the brain, plays an important role in early bonding, too — for you and for your baby. As you hold, rock, or nurse your child, you both get a rush of this "reward" chemical.
Incidentally, dopamine is what gives drug users a feeling of well-being when they're high on heroin or cocaine. In a very real sense, addicts who get hooked on drugs are simply chasing the feeling that ideally flows between parent and child. Parental love just happens to be infinitely healthier.

and in closing, I would just like to state how lucky i am that i didnt get mastitis three times like 2 of my friends have. getting it once was enough for me. I need to count my blessings more and be grateful for what i have. i have it so easy...
